Panasonic Toughpad tablet bringing its 20 inches to US in January

Panasonic lifted the rather sizeable lid on its 20-inch Panasonic Toughpad tablet back in January’s CES. Since then we’ve heard that the elaborate piece of kit will be hitting Europe this very month in two models (standard and performance).

The company has announced that the 4K-supported device will be launching in the US next January, though only in the one version. Is it specs you’re calling for? Well this US version boasts an incredible 3,840 x 2,560 resolution, Windows 8.1, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD and an Intel Core i5 CPU. That puts it in line with the Performance version from Europe.

All that said, the battery life is only meant to last you around two or so hours, so don’t expect to be taking it too far from a power socket. It’s set to go on sale for the rather jaw-dropping sum of $5999.

It’s certainly an amazing piece of kit – will the Panasonic Toughpad see success?
