Orange has joined the portable Wi-Fi hotspot revolution with its own Mobile Wi-Fi and introduced a new Samsung connected netbook with 11 hours battery life. The network has also expanded its SIM-only deals with three new tariffs.

Existing Orange customers, including those with a home broadband connection, will receive a £5 discount on all new mobile broadband price plans.

Orange has also re-introduced its 12-month price plans on new Dolphin and Racoon packages. Both 30-day and 12-month Dolphin contracts come with a 1GB monthly data allowance, with some offering an additional 1GB of ‘quiet time’ access (midnight-4pm) and unlimited data usage at BT OpenZone public hotspots.

Racoon packages offer 500MB monthly data allowances, or a pay as you go option for existing Orange customers that will simply pay 5p for each megabyte of data consumed (equivalent to approximately £50 for 1GB).
