Opera has today released a beta version of Opera Mobile, offering a number of enhancements over Opera Mini, such as faster page rendering and adjustable zoom levels with near instant text redrawing (thanks to the use of the Opera Presto rendering engine).

Opera Mobile complements the already released Opera Mini browser, which delivers pages in a compressed format to reduce bandwidth and increase speed. On Opera Mobile, the Opera Turbo feature (which can reduce page sizes by up to 80%) is now an option – allowing you to receive the full, unmodified, pages if preferred.

There’s also support for Speed Dials (up to nine easily accessible bookmarks) and support for Opera Link, which synchronises your bookmarks, speed dials and history with any other Opera web browser that you are logged into. Multiple browsing windows are supported, with ‘visual tabs’ to show a thumbnail image of each web page open, plus geolocation and SVG support.

The beta release can be downloaded now from Android Market or

Language support for Opera Mobile includes: Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian BokmÃ¥l, Norwegian Nynorsk, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
