Nokia’s Here Maps integrating with Facebook

Nokia’s Here Maps will be integrated into Facebook, Messenger and Instagram.

Facebook recently confirmed the news, but neither Facebook or Nokia will make an official announcement as they’re still in the testing stages. This news follows rumours about Facebook’s interest in purchasing the app.

Tests are only being done on Android devices, although iOS and Windows Phone could come shortly. A Facebook rep said it will give the service “more control and flexibility in delivering a constant maps experience.”

Nokia Here Maps value

The app has been praised as one of the best navigation apps around.

Nokia Here Maps is currently valued at $2 billion and interest from Samsung, Apple, Yahoo and Uber is coming in strong.
