Nexus Sailfish AnTuTu benchmark leaked

Nexus Sailfish AnTuTu benchmark has been leaked, corroborating what little we know about Google’s next device. Previous leaks don’t look so fishy anymore.

We’re fairly close to the launch of Google’s next handset launch, going by the Nexus 6P launch, Nexus Sailfish and Marlin could be here by September. Although we’re so close to launch not much is known about both devices, making leaks a rare treat.

The Nexus Sailfish AnTuTu benchmark does not reveal anything new, according to the listing a Snapdragon 820 is onboard, 4GB of RAM, 8-megapixel selfie camera and 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.

Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM were previously mentioned in a leaked build.prop file and another benchmark listing. The Snapdragon 821 was just recently announced, it would be a generous move from Google’s part to use the 821 in Nexus Marlin, while the 820 heads to Sailfish. Although this move could risk making the power between the two, negligible, undermining each other.

Nexus Sailfish AnTuTu benchmark also states FHD panel

Specs are impressive and will most certainly place it alongside devices such as the Galaxy S7, LG G5 and HTC 10. But unlike the aforementioned a QHD screen is not amongst the listing. Instead a FHD panel will apparently be used instead, making a 5 or 5.2-inch screen the most likely panel sized to be used on Nexus Sailfish.

As it is a Google device, we’re expecting Android 7 Nougat to run straight out of the box, although it won’t be the first Android device to do so. Another expectation is a standard 32GB model, with 16GB models slowly being phased it in new releases with other manufacturers.

Nexus Marlin is expected to be the beefier device, with a bigger screen and better resolution. Sailfish is looking to be the successor of the Nexus 5X. As with any leak and rumour we’re taking this with a pinch of salt.
