Bigger brother – Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 photos leaked

Several images for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet have leaked, showcasing a minimal sleek design that bears some resemblance to the flagship Galaxy S6 smartphone.

Last week, the device paid a visit to Chinese and American regulatory authorities for approval in their respective countries. Shortly after, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) then published a digram of the device showing it’s aesthetics in a black and white graphic stencil.

French blog NWE also managed to get hold of some exclusive colour pictures which confirmed the same minimalistic design that was documented in the FCC diagram. The device will become the slimmest tablet available, measuring a razor-thin 5.4mm. The high end tablet will replace their previous flagship tablet the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, which featured a fantastic screen and some excellent battery life.

Word on the street is that the new Galaxy Tab S2 will include an 8-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 1536 x 2048 resolution, which manages to hit the 320ppi density used by some printing publications. In other words, this should be a impressively sharp screen. It also has the same 64-bit Exynos 7420 SoC that powers the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, though we can probably expect a slightly higher clock speed thanks to the larger body and better heat dissipation.

It’s also expected to feature 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage, which will be expandable thanks to a microSD slot, as well as an 8MP rear camera and 2.1MP (1080P) front camera. You can now rest assured that your Skype calls will be in full hd.

No word yet on pricing or availability. However, as they have been approved by authorities, we shouldn’t expect to wait too long. Do you like the look of this new tablet? Would you buy one? Let us know in the comments below!
