In the wake of the recent release date announcement of the next-gen version of Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar has now launched a new update for the game’s constantly expanding online mode.

The new upgrade comes with the ironic title “I’m Not a Hipster”, which refers to the alternative fashion items now available in the game. These include retro print tees,  skinny jeans, hairstyles, tattoos, animal masks and more.

GTA V fans will also recall that the term ‘hipster’ is used as a running joke between Trevor and Michael, with the former claiming that the latter has shed his criminal roots and adopted the Los Santos ‘hipster’ lifestyle.

Additionally, seven new rides have also been added to the update, including the Glendale, Warrener, Blade and Rhapsody.

Meanwhile, weapons enthusiasts will be happy to learn that Ammu-Nation will now stock the Vintage Pistol and Antique Cavalry Dagger.

New jobs have also been added to Online mode, amounting to 12 in total. These include new Races, a Death Match, two new Captures and more. There also three new Gang Attacks.

As is usually the case, the new update features additional customisations added to the LS Customs lineup, ten existing vehicles added to the Southern San Andreas Super Autos website and a host of bug fixes.

To download the “I’m Not a Hipster” Update, just boot up your online-connected PS3 or Xbox 360 and start GTA V. You’ll be prompted to download the automatic update (1.14) and Xbox 360 players will also be required to download an additional compatibility pack upon entering GTA Online.

A detailed breakdown of the new features in the update can be viewed on the Rockstar Support Site.

To further promote the update, Rockstar will be hosting an “I’m Not a Hipster” Event Weekend this Friday through to Sunday, with special additional bonuses and contests. More details for the online event will be announced later this week.
