Netflix 4K in testing, but don’t upgrade your TV yet

It looks like Netflix 4K could be coming soon – the company has started experimenting with the high resolution format.

Said experiments are actually six 4K videos posted on the streaming service. Each one runs the same footage at a different frame rate. No doubt this is helping the company tests things like pressure to its servers. The footage is just filler stuff by the name of ‘El Fuente’.

Apparently Netflix is looking to launch its Ultra HD service in the next year. It could be that Netflix 4K streaming becomes a part of this service or another thing entirely. Super HD was recently brought to all Netflix users. We at least hope that the second season of House of Cards will stream showing us every single line of Kevin Spacey’s face.
