The Nokia website is now allowing you to pre-order the N96 with a year of ‘Comes with Music’ for £540 inclusive of VAT. That buys you a SIM-free phone with 16GB of internal memory (and the option of adding a further 16GB via a microSDHC card) and a code that ‘magically’ removes all of the charges for downloading tracks and albums. You should receive your phone before the end of January 2009.

Other models available include the N95 8GB and the ageing 5310 XpressMusic. The 5800 XpressMusic (aka Tube) will be added to the range in early 2009 (we’re reliably informed that the UK will see the phone in early February) for a price that is likely to be far lower than that of the N96 (but with only 8GB of memory included).
