Mysterious Motorola handset appears online

A new Motorola device codename ‘5137’ has just been spotted undergoing certification checks on the FCC website.

There’s been no shortage of Motorola rumours as of recent and now we have one more to add in the list. Android Geeks has just spotted a mysterious device listed on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website, a company that certifies smartphone device for use on the American cellular network.

The device is listed as model ‘5137’ and measures 161.8 x 75.3mm, which equates roughly to a 5.5 – 5.7 inch screen. It also reveals that the device will have 4G LTE-A and MIMO Wi-Fi connectivity, which is only available on current flagship chipsets. This suggests that the smartphone could have either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or s Snapdragon 810 chipset. It could even include the next generation Snapdragon 820.

Fingers crossed that it’s the rumoured upcoming ‘Kinzie‘ handset, a monster flagship that boasts a Quad HD 2560 x 1440 display, 3GB RAM and a mammoth 20 megapixel camera with 4k video capabilities.
