EVEN MORE UPDATES: Vodafone has said it will stock the mystery Lumia.
Whatever that Lumia may be (although it sounds like the Lumia 928 is the best bet), Vodafone has said it will stock it, without giving away any details.
As pointed out by What Mobile forum-er (it’s a word) satsuma, Vodafone’s blog says the operator will be “among the first UK networks” to offer the new Lumia arrival, so it sounds like it’s not an exclusive deal.
UPDATED: Nokia has updated its Lumia 928 splash page and this time it features a video.
The new press image on its page shows an almost Xperia Z looking device; rectangular and thin with the usual touch buttons for the Lumia family. The videos tag line confirms the device will have an 8.7MP PureView camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Optical Image Stabilization.
The video pits the new Lumia device against the Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 in a low light and image stabilization situation – a rollercoaster ride at night.
While the stabilization is at times iffy (given, it’s a rollercoaster), the footage looks great compared with the other two devices, albeit with the S3 coming out better than the iPhone 5.

The Nokia Lumia 928 has been spotted in the wild – or at least, its marketing has been.
Thanks to a magazine spread spotted in Vanity Fair and reported by Endgadget, the Lumia 928 has been confirmed – follow the link in the ad and a brief and tantalising ad for the “newest Nokia Lumia” can be found.
And given that next week Nokia are hosting an event which the company says will continue the Nokia Lumia story, it may just be the device rumoured to be Nokia’s new flagship phone will make its debut very shortly.
The magazine article spotted by Endgadget confirmed the device will feature the PureView and Optical Image Stabilisation tech and a Carl Zeiss lens, so looks like Nokia is looking to follow up on its 808 PureView phone which debuted at Mobile World Congress in 2012, featuring a whopping 41 MP camera with 7152 x 5368 pixel shots.
The successor to the PureView was rumoured back in February, with a possible launch date of later this year
