LG’s ‘self-healing’ G Flex put to the test in user video

You’d think the most interesting thing about the LG G Flex would be the curved, flexible display. But in reality the company’s touted ‘self-healing’ feature is raising more eyebrows. Apparently the G Flex can cure scratches on its backing within moments.

Youtube’s Marques Brownlee wanted to put this to the test, so he did. In his video above you can see Brownless take both key and knife to the phone’s backing. The success of the Wolverine-style system varies, but Brownless has some interesting theories regarding room temperature to explain. We’d definitely like to see this innovation make its way to other phones in the future.
