Want to get LG’s new 3D smartphone before anyone else? Well, selected Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy stores will have the glasses-free LG Optimus 3D phone on sale a week early.

Costing £499.95 SIM-free, or free on a £35 per month contract, the LG Optimus 3D has a 4.3-inch WVGA display that can display stereoscopic 3D images when used in landscape mode.

The Android smartphone also has a 5-megapixel camera with the ability to take 3D photos and videos, which can be displayed on the phone or output to a 3D TV via HDMI.

Although the phone will ship with Android 2.2, it will be upgraded to 2.3 in the near future.
