Following on from Joe Belfiore’s Windows Phone tease earlier today, Microsoft has announced that Jetpack Joyride will be the first of the two apps launching on Windows Phone today.

The highly addictive side-scrolling adventure from the makers of Fruit Ninja and Gravity Guy will be completely free — like the version for Windows 8 and other operating systems.

Joe Belfiore announced the game on Twitter, noting that many Windows Phone users had requested it.

You can find it in the Windows Phone Store now.
