Britain’s got talent finalist Jasmine Elcock has been appointed the patron of national children’s hospice technology charity Lifelites.

Lifelites is a charity that offers equipment such as Apple iPads and communication devices to the terminally ill and disabled children, allowing them to function in a more normal life and talk with loved ones. They cater to over 9,000 children with ongoing technical support costing each hospice around £12,500 per year. Jasmine Elcock was chosen because of her excellent singing voice and previous connections to the charity; she was chosen by Ant and Dec as the Golden Buzzer winner on the 2016 Britain’s Got Talent show. Jasmine claimed 4th place on the show, reaching the final and getting narrowly beaten by winner Richard Jones.

Jasmine said: “I’m delighted to see the magical technology that Lifelites provides can offer transformational experiences for terminally ill and disabled children in hospices. I am proud and privileged to help raise awareness of the work of Lifelites and am looking forward to being a Patron of the charity.”

She recently visited Lifelites with her Father Julian Elcock, who has had some involvement with the charity some years ago by representing them in the Lord Mayor’s Parade. She will support the charity in a variety of ways, namely helping to back the various fundraiging campaigns through word-of-mouth and public appearances.
