iPhone 7 pre-orders are tipped to start on September 9th, with reputable tipster Evan Blass leaking the information, giving us a clearer picture.

Rumours have been snowballing for the iPhone 7, with a lot of supposed information about the new iPhone, aplenty for those itching to know what Apple has in store for the world.

Serial leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks) is known for reliable information on the latest handsets, having recently provided concrete renders of the Moto Z, along with the MotoMods.

It has been widely rumoured a September release is on the cards, only now do we have a confident claim to a date. Blass claims iPhone 7 pre-orders will be taken on Friday September 9th, with the official release day being Monday 12th September.

Bold information from Blass but we are still in the dark about the announcement date, for now. From the information Blass has provided, we could be seeing an announcement in the week of the 5th of September.

The information Blass has provided is in no way official, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. But he is one of the most reliable tipsters in the world.

A lot of features are rumoured to be making their way to the iPhone 7: waterproofing, dual-cameras, a new pro model, pin connectors and omission of the headphone jack.

The iPhone 7 could turn things around for Apple, after the Cupertino based giants saw iPhone sales fall for the second straight quarter. Q3 results this year revealed 40.399 million iPhones were sold – down 15 percent from last year.

It’s not all doom for Apple as the manufacturer celebrated selling one billion iPhones since releasing the first generation iPhone back in 2007.

CEO Tim Cook addressed employees at a meeting: “last week we passed another major milestone when we sold the billionth iPhone. We never set out to make the most, but we’ve always set out to make the best products that make a difference. Thank you to everyone at Apple for helping change the world every day.”
