iPad 5 will feature TouchID reveals leaked images

If the October 22 event date for Apple’s rumoured iPad launch event turns out to be correct then you may not have long to find out if this rumour is true or not, but according to some leaked images on Chinese site CtechCN, the iPad 5 may feature the iPhone 5s’ TouchID sensor.

Fingerprint scanners seem to be all the craze at the moment, with the HTC One Max packing one in, and Apple touting it as a major feature of the iPhone 5s — so it’d only be natural for the company to include one on the next-generation iPad. Whilst the leaked image doesn’t reveal much, there isn’t a rounded square in the middle of the home button, leading us to believe that TouchID will be included.

We wouldn’t go so far as to say this is a sure thing, the image is blurry and it’s not hard to fake — but it’s certainly plausible.
