iOS apps made Apple £7.9 billion last year

We don’t like to guess how much Apple much make on iOS app purchases because, honestly, it makes our heads hurt. Luckily we don’t have to – the company has revealed that £7.9 billion was spent in its digital store last year.

£609 million of that was made last month. It’s a dizzying amount of money. As we revealed back in December, Minecraft was the top-paid app for 2013. The likes of Angry Birds: Star Wars and more also contributed to the sum.

And now it’s 2014 with more Apple devices out there than ever. Surely that means we see this total rise again.
