Mac owners have been familiar with a more ethnically diverse set of emojis for a while now, but iPhone users can now enjoy this diversity too.

The launch of iOS 8.3 adds over 300 new emojis – including the thumbs up – with a wider variety of skin colours than before. More countries’ flags have been added, whilst an Apple Watch emoji has been chucked in as well.

Other iOS 8.3 updates

The iPhone’s keyboard has also been tweaked in the iOS 8.3 update, but has given the “.” button less room to breathe in the process.

Apple CarPlay support has also been added, giving users the ability to connect their iPhone to a compatible car’s dashboard display.

iOS 8.3 also adds additional languages for Siri and dictation and improvements to orientation, WiFi and Bluetooth.
