Instagram Finally Gets Offline Mode

Instagram announced a new offline mode at the Facebook F8 developer conference, which allows Android and iOS users to enjoy the application without need for an internet connection.

The worlds most popular photo-based social media network has finally got a dedicated offline mode; a feature that users have been crying out for since its release. The update allows users to comment and follow/unfollow accounts without a data connection, while also caching certain areas of the app. Commonly viewed profiles and the explore tab will be saved in the background for offline viewing, though there wasn’t any announcement on whether the Snapchat-style stories feature would be included on the list.

The update is rolling out across iOS devices now in a staggered release and is expected to be available on Android very soon.
