Social networking-based handset brand INQ is looking to include Twitter in upcoming versions of its device.

Its debut device, the INQ1, launched last year on 3, featuring Facebook, Skype, Windows Live Messenger and integrated into the device. New INQ devices will also feature an eBay application, and the company is in discussions with Twitter. It is also looking to launch new devices on networks other than 3.

Existing INQ1 users will be able to update their software as the new applications are released.

INQ chief executive Frank Meehan said: “Twitter is something we are very much looking at. It’s an incredibly successful phenomenon – it’s everywhere, and will be a good complement to Facebook on our handsets.”
