Hulu Plus for Nintendo 3DS now available

This one is for those of you who reside in the US, given Hulu Plus isn’t available here in the UK or anywhere else really — but if you’re a US-owning Nintendo 3DS owner, then you’ve now got a new use for that 3D-touting portable gaming console. As of today you can now access Hulu Plus to watch thousands of hours of TV shows in between playing the latest Mario Kart.

To make the deal a little sweeter, if you haven’t got a Hulu Plus subscription you’ll get a one-week free trial as soon as you download it from the eShop, which isn’t bad if you ask us — given we’re always desperate to stream the entire backend of Family Guy episodes. After the one-week free trial you’ll be required to swallow a $7.99/mo bill to continue using the service, but don’t worry you can use that anywhere — your computer, TV or just keep using your Nintendo 3DS.

A disadvantage of the Nintendo 3DS Hulu Plus app is that it’s completely without advertising, and you can’t access the free ad-based service.
