The HTC Touch Diamond2 and HTC Touch Pro2 each run on Windows Mobile 6.1 and use HTC’s latest generation TouchFLO 3D touchscreen interface, plus high-resolution displays.
HTC Touch Diamond2
The Diamond2 includes a larger screen than its predecessor, the Touch Diamond and has lost its controversial look – favouring a more conservative design that was favoured by T-Mobile for its toned-down variant last year. It now has a 5-megapixel camera and Wide-VGA resolution display, making it comparable to the Touch HD released last year.
HTC Touch Pro2
The Pro2 doesn’t get the 5-megapixel camera (it has a 3.2-megapixel one instead) but it does include HTC’s Straight Talk, a new speakerphone system that allows users to email and make voice calls at the same time.
It also has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard that has a full five rows, instead of the four row one used on Nokia’s new E75.
The Touch Diamond2 will be available early Q2. The Touch Pro2 is set for a summer release.
