HTC to announce new smartphone in October

HTC has announced that the company will reveal a new device next month in October.

Rather unsurprisingly, HTC didn’t hold a press event like expected. Instead, the Taiwanese company took the opportunity to announce that its next product launch will officially take place on October 20th. Those who were perhaps hoping for the HTC One A9 will have to wait a little longer.

Still, the company did manage to release some other details regarding which devices will get the Android Marshmallow update. The HTC One M8 and M9 will get the newest OS before the end of the year, while a slew of other handsets have also been confirmed to get the update at some point in the future.
