In response to research that showed many people are overwhelmed by the amount of email they receive, HTC has introduced an innovative Inner Circle feature that allows users of the new HTC Snap to press a dedicated key to bring emails from a selected group of people to the top of their inbox.

The phone itself has a slim profile, measuring just 12mm thick – but still packing in a 1500mAh battery that can deliver up to 8.5 hours of talktime.

They keyboard has large domed keys and a responsive feedback, while HSPA access offers fast uploading and downloading over 3G. The phone also comes with a 2-megapixel camera on the rear.

The HTC Snap is designed to be an affordable choice for users needing a Windows Mobile powered smartphone (the Snap will ship with the non-touchscreen version of Windows Mobile 6.1 standard edition).

It will go on sale in the second half of 2009.
