HTC has been rumoured on numerous occasions recently to be working on a 5-inch Android smartphone. And now with the arrival of the HTC J Butterfly it appears those rumours were true.

The HTC J Butterfly’s 5-inch display comes with an amazing Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and even packs in a staggering 440 ppi (pixels per inch).

The HTC J Butterfly is an amazing looking smartphone with a feature set that goes beyond simply having an impressive size of screen. You’ll find it’s powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, backed by 2GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of internal memory, as well as a MicroSD card slot for extra expansion.

You’ll find an 8-Megapixel camera on the rear of the device, along with a 2-Megapixel front-facing camera. With all that screen real estate you’ll need plenty of battery life, so HTC has packed in a 2020mAh battery to help deliver an impressive battery life.

The HTC J Butterfly will be made available in three colours – red, white and black. However, at the moment, it’s only available in Japan but we’re hoping that it makes it here in the UK at some point in the future, hopefully this side of Christmas.
