HP has decided that it’s time to grab a slice of the portable devices market.

The company has confirmed two tablets that come with voice calling. In other words, the Slate 6 and Slate 7 Voicetabs, both named after their respective screen sizes, are essentially huge smartphones.

Both are Android Jelly Bean devices with quad-core processors fitted inside. There’s 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB. The Slate 6 has a 1280 x 720 display which the 7 boasts a 1280 x 800.

Rear cameras are at 5-megapixels while the front ones are 2-megapixels.

Right now it’s only launching in India, though expansion into other territories is possible.
