The HP Envy x2 running Windows 8 has been officially announced but will not ship until December the company has confirmed.

The HP Envy x2 is a stunning combination of a tablet with docking keyboard that comes with magnetic connectors and a secure latch to attach the tablet to the laptop portion of the device.

Based around an 11.6-inch IPS screen with 1366 x 768-pixel resolution, the HP Envy x2 is a great looking hybrid that is set to run Windows 8.

With an overall weight of 1.4kg, with keyboard attached, this is also a super slim and lightweight portable designed with the busy traveller in mind.

Powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2670, it has a clock speed of 1.8GHz and comes backed with 2GB of RAM.

You’ll find a 64GB SSD drive for storing your media, with an 8-Megapixel rear mounted camera and 1080p front-mounted camera for video calls.

Other great features include NFC, Beats Audio with dual speakers, HDMI-out port and SD card slot, as well as the standard 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth.

Pricing for the HP Envy x2 will be announced closer to the launch date. We think it’s one of the best looking and feature-rich hybrid tablets launched so far but what do you think? Will the HP Envy x2 be a winner with you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
