Honor 3X and 3C coming from Huawei

Huawei is looking to hold its ground in the budget market with two new entries in the Honor range. These include the Honor 3X and Honor 3C. Yes other phones can use numbers and letters to name themselves, Apple.

Both handsets are dual-SIM devices. The Honor 3X is one of those super-sounding octa-core 1.7GHz MT6592 handsets. This gives the phone a rather impressive 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera and a 3000 mAh battery. The screen is at 5.5-inches and runs at 720p. The full 1080p was shunned in order to keep battery performance high. It’s dual-SIM feature has space for a Mini and Micro SIM, both of which can be 3G. It’s set to go for about £171 SIM-free.

Then there’s the 3C which takes things down a notch. There’s still 2GB of RAM, but its a 5-inch phone with a 2,300 mAh battery and 8-megapixel camera. It’s set to be priced at around £140 for a 1GB model (!) and £155 for a 2GB version (!!).

Right now the phones are confirmed for China and that’s about it. If the Honor 3X and 3C make it over here is anyone’s guess.
