Hasselblad Moto Mod returns in leaked image

The rumoured Hasselblad Moto Mod accessory has resurfaced in the rumour sphere after not seeing an announcement at the Moto Z launch.

It’s hardly a secret that Lenovo and Hasselblad are working to create a beast of a camera accessory, for the new Moto Z and Moto Z Force. We didn’t see it at Lenovo Tech World, where the Moto Z range was announced, and we didn’t see it a week later at an unveiling from Hasselblad themselves.

Hasselblad teased us all with a sneak peak (above) of what was to be unveiled, with many speculating to be the new Moto Mod. Alas it wasn’t, instead the 50-megapixel CMOS sensor Hasselblad X1D was announced instead.

Now a leaked advert has surfaced on Google+ via HelloMotoHK, who were responsible for accurate leaks on the Moto Z. According to the advert the new Moto Mod will be called the Hassleblad True Zoom Camera, capable of 10 times optical zoom, xenon flash, physical buttons, automatic back up and raw format option.

All impressive specs which would definitely give the Moto Z some serious photography power. We have to take this rumour with a pinch of salt as it is just a rumour. There is Lenovo branding down the side of the leaked image, but that could have been easily fabricated.

Hasselblad Moto Mod or Hasselblad says not to Mod

When will we see the Hasselblad Moto Mod? Most likely in the following weeks, considering a considerable amount of time has passed since the Moto Z launch. Hasselblad are known to make expensive cameras and are legends in the photography world. Speculation point to the Hasselblad Moto Mod being the most expensive Moto Mod once released. Currently the Insta-Share Projector Case is the most expensive, retailing for £229.99 ($299.99).

If this new Moto Mod proves to be true, will it swing your decision to get a Moto Z or Moto Z Force? Let us know in the comments.
