Google’s Nexus 8 to arrive in April after disappointing 7 sales?

The Nexus 8, a device that’s been rumored since the end of last year, could be arriving at the end of April.

DigiTimes is reporting as much. The outlet cites Taiwan-based sources in saying that the Nexus 8 will launch towads the back end of Aprill following unsatisfactory sales of the 2013 Nexus 7.

Also to blame is pressure from smartphones will larger displays (read: phablets) that might start making seven-inch tablets irrelevant. Obviously the Nexus 8 would be fitted with an eight-inch display.

Would you welcome a Nexus 8 in a few months time or is it simply too soon for another addition to the line-up?
