Google has updated Chrome to a standard users have been craving for ages.

The mobile browser has a new rendering engine called WKWebView, the same one see in Apple’s Safari browser. Aesthetically it will look no different from the Chrome you use now, it will however provide Chrome with it’s biggest boost yet improving speed and performance.

Chrome will no crash 70% less according to tests carried out by Google. Chrome will finally use JavaScript. Apple allowed third-party apps and browsers JavaScript since iOS 8, Google has been slow to take advantage of it.

Google are rolling out the update now, check the App Store to update to the latest version (48.0.2564.87). The update is rolling out at a good time as Safari is suffering from a nasty crashing bug.
