Google Glass to go on sale to the general public for one day only tomorrow

Google is still building anticipation for its augmented reality device, Google Glass, till the day it is available alongside other glasses such as Ray-Bans and Oakley’s.

With some hype-building in mind, Google is selling Glass to anyone in the US for one day only tomorrow, 15 April.

Headsets will go on sale at 9 a.m. ET at glass.google.com, for the usual full price of $1,500 plus tax. To purchase a pair, you must have a US mailing address and be at least 18 years old.

This is the first time Glass has been made available to the entire American public. As of 16 April, sales will revert back to invite only.

Only a few thousand people have Glass today. Google calls these folks Explorers – a group of consumers and developers serving as guinea pigs testing the hardware.
