Fitness wearable Jawbone Up finally has an Android app

At long last, Android users finally have an app compatible with their Jawbone wearable. The Up by Jawbone app offers Android the full array of features that have been available to iOS users since the product’s release over two years ago.

The app allows you to pair your device with your Up or Up24 wristband via bluetooth to track and manage your fitness data as you go about your day.

Frankly, this news is probably more important to those considering purchasing the band rather than those who already own it, as without an accompanying app Android users would have been getting very little functionality out of their Up. The announcement does coincide nicely with the release of the Up24 though, Jawbone’s first successor to the Up.

You can download the app from the Google Play store here.
