easyJet app makes flying from Gatwick easy

Flying away to another country can sometimes be a confusing task, but easyJet has come up with a solution to make it easier.

The airline’s updated mobile app goes further than just storing electronic boarding passes. It guides you through your journey, but only if you’re flying from London Gatwick.

Once you’ve arrived at Gatwick, you’ll get a notification telling you where to dump your bag, and it’ll even use maps to direct you there. If you don’t have lots of luggage, you’ll be guided to the departures area instead.

The moment you’ve made it past security, you needn’t spend ages looking at confusing departures boards. The app will let you know when your gate opens and where it is.

It doesn’t stop there. As soon as you come back from your trip, the app will tell you which baggage carousel you need to collect your luggage from. These features are available in easyJet’s iOS app, but there are no plans to bring it to Android.

It could head to other airports, however. easyJet said:”We are looking at this for numerous other airports across our European network.”
