The processor is based on an entirely new micro architecture designed for small devices and low power. Measuring less than 25mm2, it’s the smallest processor from Intel yet. When used in conjunction with the Super Hybrid Engine technology, power consumption can be reduced by up to 15%, enabling a more than impressive 9.5 hours of continuous usage.

The 1000HE has a keyboard that’s 92% the size of a normal desktop keyboard, a 10-inch LED backlit W-SVGA display, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth and a 160GB hard drive. Owners will also benefit from the 10GB of online Eee Storage space, which allows easy sharing and movement of documents and media.

The Eee PC is on sale now, priced around £325.
