Apple unveils new purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini

Pre-order’s for the iPhone 12 in purple open from Friday (April 23)

Apple has expanded its iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini range with the introduction of a new purple model.

The vendor revealed the new-look iPhone 12 during its Spring Loaded event yesterday evening (April 20).

The event mainly focused on Apple’s launch of new iMac, iPad Pro and AirTag products.

Apple’s latest offering in purple is available to pre-order from Friday April 23, with availability beginning from April 30.

It means customers will be able to now choose from white, black, blue, green, red and purple iPhone 12 and 12 Mini’s.

These smartphones both support 5G connectivity and feature the Apple-designed A14 Bionic chipset.

Apple’s latest addition is a well-timed entry according to PP Foresight analyst Paolo Pescatore.

“The fresh purple is perfectly timed for Spring which adds to an already an eye-catching range of colours. We all have individual tastes, and this could help sway some users to buy it. In essence, it is a move to drive sales giving users another option.”

Operator’s EE and Vodafone have both confirmed stock of the latest iPhone 12 will be available via stores and online.
