Apple has announced the dates for its annual Worldwide developer conference, the WWDC 2014, starting on the 2 June.

The event, where Apple’s software products take center stage,  will be touching upon the future of iOS .

A mere two months after Microsoft’s own developer conference (which is currently taking place in San Francisco), it will be Apple’s turn to demonstrate how its platforms have evolved.

So far the  leaks of the next version of iOS  show that it  will include more fitness related apps as well as apps based on iCloud.

The event, which will showcase the next versions of iOS as well as the Mac OS X will be attended by 1000 Apple Engineers and 5000 developers from around the world who work on Apple’s devices and its platforms.

The real speculation from analysts is focusing upon the long rumoured launch of the iWatch (Apple’s smartwatch), which some commentators claim could be unveiled at the WWDC event.

As always, we will be keeping track of all the announcements from WWDC and will have all the breaking news.
