Apple is aiming to brighten your day on September 10, with the announcement that it plans on holding its iPhone hardware event on the date.

The event will take place at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino and will start at 10AM PT, with rumours pointing towards an announcement of two iPhones.

Whilst the invite does not reveal all that much, with just a few colourful dots to go by — we can assume that the iPhone 5C will be part of the announcement, given the device is rumoured to be launching in an assortment of colours.

The iPhone 5S is also set to be unveiled along the iPhone 5C, with the upgraded flagship gaining either a 12- or 13-megapixel camera sensor with dual-LED flash, and a fingerprint sensor.

It is also likely that Apple will be giving the device a speed boost with an all new processor.

It had previously been rumoured that Apple will be launching the new iPads on the same day as the next iPhone, although these seem to be unfounded — and will instead be launching at a later date.

Apple’s new iOS products will feature the company’s brand new mobile operating system, iOS 7, which is the company’s biggest UI overhaul to date.

We’re expecting to hear the date of release for iOS 7 at the September 10 event.
