Angry Birds for Android has just been enhanced, along with the release of a version compatible with the many Android smartphones using QVGA-resolution displays.

The new version (1.4.2) is available now from Android Market and, which includes a new episode for Android; The Big Setup, pitting the birds in a construction yard operated by the pigs. This increases the levels to 195.

However, the updated version has moved the ads to the top right, which is likely to be rather frustrating to some players.

In addition to the updated game, which is free to download (supported by in-game ads), Rovio is also opening pre-ordering on a range of Angry Birds plush toys – perfect Christmas gifts for fans of the game.
