AA app stops you having a breakdown when you breakdown

The AA has launched an app to help the breakdown assistance company find you in the event of a breakdown, so you will never need to spend ages on the phone trying to describe exactly where you are.

The app uses GPS to find a member’s exact location and make a call to the AA Breakdown Control Centre. Even non-members can install the app and keep it for a ‘rainy day’, with the option of joining the breakdown organisation there and then (for a price, obviously).

As well as offering a breakdown location service, the app can also be used for traffic information and to provide reminders for when your car insurance, vehicle excise duty and MOT are approaching renewal.

Suffice to say, with AA’s involvement in providing insurance cover, you can also access the full range of insurance products too.

The app is available now for iOS and Android.
