Now that the Galaxy S4 has launched, the question is, what will it set you back?

Stuff.tv is reporting that the Samsung US website has the price listed in its terms and conditions for a competition it’s running.

The competition is for a free Samsung Galaxy S4 and lists the device as having an approximate retail value of $US579 or £383 in British moneys.

Samsung UK said said it was unable to provide details on UK pricing, which would be down to individual operators and retailers.

In New York, one T-Mobile store clerk said he thought the device would probably be priced somewhere between between the Galaxy S3 at $US600 ( £397) and the Galaxy Note 2 at $US700 ( £463).

The recently launched Xperia Z and HTC One phones, both flagships for Sony and HTC respectively and in the case of the former running comparable hardware to the S4, are selling for around £500.

Most major networks and mobile retailers in the UK are offering the S4, including Everything Everywhere, Vodafone, O2, Phones4U and Carphone Warehouse.
