Mobile gaming is an industry that only keeps getting bigger. Games act as a perfect companion for those stressful morning commutes or short journeys. However, with the wealth of titles on offer it can be a little daunting to separate the good from the bad.

Just as we did last week, here’s our rundown of the top 5 best free mobile games for June 22nd – June 28th:

PES Club Manager (Android and iOS)

PES Club Manager is a great football simulator from Konami that manages to be surprisingly deep. With a full 3D match engine and realtime tactic changes, you’ll be feeling like a manager in no time. There’s plenty to get your teeth stuck into, from player development to youth team management and stadium enhancements. Starting in the lower leagues, you’ll build yourself up to the top-level and bid against other players in realtime to scoop the best football stars possible. If you’re after a solid mobile managerial experience, this is a very solid option.

SBK15 – Official Mobile Game (Android and iOS)

*Windows Phone version also available for £2.29

SBK15 – Official Mobile Game is the latest in a long line of official motorbike racing instalments. Featuring the full roster of 24 elite riders and 13 tracks, there’s plenty to get your teeth stuck into. With full 3D visuals and plenty of control flexibility, it plays fantastic and offers plenty of depth for casual gamers and racing fans alike. The physics engine is very impressive, offering some realistic and natural riding mechanics that definitely don’t feel arcade-style. If you’re a Superbike fan, this is a great free title.

Siegefall (Android and iOS)

Siegefall is a classic fortress siege/ base-building game that has its sights firmly set on dethroning Clash of Clans. Created by renowned mobile developer Gameloft, you can rest assured that it has a good pedigree. Premium currency is used to initially build your base, which then needs to be defended from A.I. soldiers. Successfully defending your base allows it to grow and expand, meaning you can take over more land. Hero units can be summoned for additional help, adding an extra strategic element to the game. A solid base-building title.

Sonic Runners (Android and iOS)

Sonic Runners is a great casual game that captures the essence of classic games in the series. With its traditional 2D side-scrolling gameplay, it plays exactly like a mobile Sonic game should. The gameplay is fairly simple and focuses around a chase sequence between Sonic and Dr. Robotnik. Simply make it to the end of the level as quickly as possible, collecting rings and crystals along the way. Tapping the screen makes Sonic jump, while using the various power-ups allows you to absorb rings and crystals much faster. Simple yet effective fun.

Warship Battle: 3D World War II (Android only)

Warship Battle: 3D World War II is a naval combat simulator that puts the player in command of authentic warships from the World War II era. Take control of classic vessels such as the USS Arizona while you battle at sea with rival ships. Missions involve taking out coastal guns and sinking rival ships in scenarios which are inspired by real World War 2 events. Every successful mission earns currency which can then be used to upgrade your vessel further, making you the meanest ship in the land!
