Keeping your hands clean might be very straightforward, but keeping your phone clean is a very different matter. After all, you might put your phone down in various places throughout the day and you never really know if it has been in contact with a surface that has been contaminated with the coronavirus. If you want to stay as safe as possible then here are some of the top things that you can do.

Mild Soap and Water

This method isn’t as good as alcohol wipes but if all else fails then you can easily use some soap and water to try and clean your phone. Start by using dish soap and water, but avoid soaking your phone too much. If you do happen to get your phone too wet, then you may end up damaging some of the internal components and this is the last thing that you want. If you want to clean your phone at the end properly then you need to try and dry it with a lint-free cloth. Cloths like this are far less abrasive when compared to towels or even tissues and they are not as likely to damage your phone’s display. If you have a touchscreen phone or commonly use your phone to play games on a casino online then there’s a chance that your phone will need to be left to air dry because if you don’t then your screen might not recognise all of your gestures.

Wipes

It has been advised that you use a wipe that is at least 70% alcohol. This is the best option if you want to keep your phone clean. Wipes can be used on the exterior of your phone, which includes the display, the rear casing and more. You should however, avoid any openings on the phone, such as the speakers, the port or anything else. If you have tried to get wipes and not been able to because they have all sold out, then you’ll be glad to know that there are other options available.

Light Rinse

If all else fails then you can dunk your phone in water, or rinse it under the tap. This is only for phones that are certified as being waterproof, so you need to keep this in mind. If you want to make sure that you get the best result out of your phone, then make sure that it is registered as being IP67 and above. If it is then it can be under one metre of water for over 30 minutes. This can vary depending on the manufacturer though, so do keep this in mind if you can. Of course, if you want to try and make sure that your phone is going to be safe here then try and keep it under the water for as little time as possible and also make sure that you take note of the speaker. This can’t get too wet because if it does then it will fry the circuit.
