EE launches new pay monthly plans for 5G-enabled handsets

EE has announced a new range of monthly handset plans that all come with 5G access. 

The new range of Smart, Essential and Smart SIM pay monthly plans means that customers with a 5G handset can use 5G services. 

EE has also revealed that these new plans include reserve data, which allows customers to stay connected even if they overuse their allowance. 

While the operator has added streaming service BritBox as a Smart Plan swappable benefit for customers. 

These other swappable benefits include Amazon Prime, BT Sport, video data pass and roam further pass. 

EE’s Smart Plans allow for customers to choose from a range of the swappable benefits, plus the ability to upgrade to a new phone whenever they wish to. 

EE Consumer director of propositions of Sharon Meadows said: We want to provide as many people as possible with access to the faster speeds, greater capacity and improved latency that 5G brings – so we’ve made all our new pay monthly handset plans, as well as our new Smart Sim plans, come with 5G as standard. 

“When combined with inclusive Reserve Data, flexible Swappable Benefits, unlimited data, Service Packs and the option to upgrade anytime.”
