The LG Optimus L3 E400 is the sub £99 Android from LG that looks set to go against the Huawei Ascend G300, Samsung Galaxy Ace and own brand network offerings.

The budget spec starts with a 3.2 inch screen, which means the body is small and slim – palm size in fact at just 102.6 x 61.6 x 11.85 mm. There’s even a decent size 1540 mAh battery tucked inside the body and in design terms, the Optimus L3 represents a surprise high-point for LG. It’s smarter than a Galaxy Ace and looks more premium than Huawei efforts.

During use the LG Optimus L3 shows CPU usage and apps running, perhaps because of the small yet capable 800Mhz processor. There 1GB of storage space but a MicroSD card slot which accepts 32GB cards, edging past the Nokia Asha 201 in terms of storage and camera – 3 megapixel over 2 megapixel.

The full spec is below and Tesco Mobile are current ranging the Optimus L3 E400 for just £89.
