Applications are the reason why we love our smartphones so much; it’s like having tons of top smartphone apps at your beck and call. So why not recruit some new ones to get you through the week! Here’s our top smartphone apps for July 11th-17th!

My Club Connect (Android and iOS)

My Club Connect is the newest in a line of applications dedicated to London’s world-famous nightlife. Created after extensive research with club goers and event brands, the developers have plans to expand to the entire UK very soon. The interface is very straightforward; simply hit the search button and find your location, then get an instant bunch of results with pricing information and more. The app is pretty fresh and as such, there’s still a few kinks to sort out. Images can appear stretched and you can’t pay for tickets without backing out, but the potential is definitely there.

dubdub (iOS only)

Price: Free

Video editing apps are everywhere, but few offer enough features to make them truly useful in the real world. dubdub wants to change this by offering 12 tracks with which to import and edit your video. The interface is a familiar timeline style, where you stack various audio and video clips on top of each other to produce a finished composition. After a video is published, dubdud will then you share this with all major social media channels, or you can upload it their very own ‘dubworld’ channel.

Sainsbury’s Entertainment Music (Android and iOS)

Sainsbury’s has released a new application which allows those who have purchased music using their on-demand service a place to listen. The application itself has a very clean appearance and supports the ability to create playlists and download tracks to your device. The interface is clean and simple, with an appearance that feels like a mix of Windows Phone meets iOS. You’ll need a Sainsbury’s music account to make use of the app, as it won’t let you use songs obtained outside the service.

If you’ve got a canine friend who is particularly hard to manage, you may want to put Bauwow on your list. A rather unique entry in our top smartphone apps for July 11th-17th, this companion application offers a bunch of different features targeting your typical dog owner, including picture uploads, training tips and organising social walks with other canines. It pretty much has all bases covered for every dog owner, which makes this a very useful app if you take your pets seriously.

Circle Pay (Android and iOS)

Splitting the bill is always a difficult thing that most people don’t really enjoy doing. Likewise when asking your flatmates for money they may owe you for past issues. You can make conversations and request money using GIFS, turning things into a bit of a game.
