Orange has today launched the official Glastonbury 2011 app, helping to keep iPhone, Android and Nokia festival goers up to speed on everything happening at Glastonbury this year.

The app offers festival site maps, a programmable ‘my planner’ to plan your event, news and live information for both people attending and those who couldn’t make it.

Orange has also created the most accurate interactive map yet, allowing users to click on a stage to see who is playing now and next, share with Facebook and even set your mood to help create a real time ‘mood map’ for the whole site.

For people who didn’t get tickets, the news section within the Glastonbury 2011 app will also give information on how you could win one of the last remaining pairs of tickets.

Orange also claims the 2011 app is the most efficient version yet, to ensure the app won’t kill your battery – but if your battery does start to fail, Orange has more ‘Chill ‘n’ Charge’ areas throughout the site.

The app can be found on all the major app stores, with more information here.
