Apple continuing App Store anniversary celebration with free apps and games?

Apple isn’t done celebrating 5 years of app store just yet as The Verge has spotted several top apps have had their prices slashed to zero.

Whilst there has been no confirmation that this is to do with the app store’s anniversary, it sure would be a coincidence if it wasn’t.

The list of free apps includes Barefoot World Atlas, Day One, Over and Traktor DJ — an app which previously sold for $19.99 on iPad.

If games are more your speed then you’re covered there too, with Badland, Infinity Blade II, Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP, Tiny Wings and Where’s My Water all available free.

We have contacted Apple for an official explanation but don’t let that stop you from enjoying these free apps and games.
