Altec Lansing has launched the InMotion Air Bluetooth wireless speaker, which can operate at a distance of 100 metres from its source without compromising on sound quality.
With sleek, industrial design features and top-mounted controls, plus a handle on the back for easy carrying, the InMotion Air can be moved around and enjoyed for up to seven hours between charges. It can be found in two colours; slate black and gunmetal grey.
The £180 speaker system will work with an iPhone, iPad or any other Bluetooth enabled device, with the increased 100 metre wireless range available when using the supplied wireless adapter for a computer. The computer adapter includes an audio bypass for ordinary speakers, so it never needs to be unplugged when you want to switch to a wired system.

Audio quality is paramount, and the InMotion Air also features a special ‘apt-X’ sound coded for the most robust sound, regardless of file compression. Further algorithms are used to enhance the sound further. The system is also designed to reduce the chance of interference from other Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices.
The InMotion Air comes with a remote control, with included support for iTunes and Windows Media Center and will be available later this month at the Apple Store, John Lewis, Dixons and PC World for a suggested retail price of £179.99.
